National Coalition of South Asian Organizations formed

Thirty one organizations across United States have come together to form the National Coalition of South Asian Organizations (NCSO). The National Coalition is a vehicle and forum through which community-based organizations can enhance their individual work and develop collective partnerships in order to bring about social change. The National Coalition will develop the strength of the community's voice in social change movements at the local and national levels.

The National Coalition was officially launched on June 24, 2008 at a Community and Media briefing in New York. Adhikaar is a founding member of the National Coalition, and Adhikaar Executive Director, Luna Ranjit, spoke about how Adhikaar hopes to benefit from and give back to the Coalition. Some pictures from the community and media briefing are here.
