Adhikaar is Launching the First Comprehensive Research of Nepali Community in New York Metro Area
On April 13, 2007, Adhikaar is launching Jaankaari Research Project, the first comprehensive study of Nepalis living in New York City and the surrounding areas, including Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester counties in New York and eastern New Jersey. This research project seeks to document the lives of Nepalis in this area. The research project will be launched to coincide with the start of the Nepali New Year 2064.

This research project will include surveys, focus groups, and individual interviews. The research team's work is supported by a Community Advisory Board, representing a broad range of Nepali organizations and individuals.
